Specification

1. Carrying weight

The axle directly bears the weight of the trailer and the cargo, and transfers it to the wheels. It is the core load-bearing component of the trailer structure.

2. Connecting wheels to the body

The wheels are connected to the trailer frame through a suspension system (such as leaf springs, torsion axles, etc.) to buffer road vibrations.

3. Support steering and braking

Steering: Some axles are designed as steerable axles to improve the flexibility of trailers in narrow areas (such as agricultural trailers).

Braking: Axles equipped with braking systems (such as electromagnetic brakes or hydraulic brakes) can assist trailers in slowing down or stopping.

Key Configurations

1. Axle: The core component, usually a solid or hollow axle made of high-strength steel, directly bears the weight of the trailer. Wheels are installed at both ends and connected to the trailer frame through bearings in the middle.

2. Bearings and bushings

Bearings: Support the rotation of the axle to reduce friction (common ball bearings or tapered roller bearings).

Sleeves: Protect the bearings and fix the position to prevent dust or water from entering.

3. Braking system (optional)

Mechanical brake: Controlled by handbrake cable
